World's Largest Singing Bowl

Guinness World Record from Hungary
Imagine sitting on the top of a hill in a huge singing bowl surrounded with nature and not only listening but feeling the vibrations of the sound within your body while birds chirping and peacocks riposting to the bowl aloud… This magical place is near to the highest peak of Hungary (Kékestetô, 1014m) also called as Blue Mountain just like in Australia.
The World’s Largest Singing Bowl is 2.33m wide, 0.83m deep and weighs over 2.5tonnes and made following an official Tibetan recipe. It is part of a Buddhist Temple and the shrine was blessed by Jigthub Rinpoche at the inauguration ceremony.
And look at that mallet! It’s a huge one-piece hardwood approx 20x20cm in width and 1.5m in length. Just by one activation the singing bowl vibrates for 6 minutes!
I had a memorable experience first by lying next to the singing bowl with feet close to it while it was activated during a Sound Healing meditation - and just by being physically close, my whole body was vibrating absorbing the sound through my feet. Then I also had a chance to spend 20minutes in the singing bowl while it was in play and that is a once in a lifetime experience for sure.
The effects of it was extraordinary, it creates a very quick deep meditative state and although it is loud, the whole body and mind fall into relaxation. It was fascinating how instantly all my chakras got activated and my physical body was buzzing with the healing vibes even in a few seconds. The effects are similar to a Didgeridoo healing above the body but due to physical vibrations within, the healing goes more quickly and deeply into the organs and cells.
I did some testings after the session, my findings are that the whole body’s chakra system got activated, chakras opened, the nervous system got regulated and even the endocrine system gave a sign of balancing and strength. It might trigger deeply buried traumas for some though, maybe that’s why our practitioner covered her ears while playing, which was definitely surprising but she was dealing with some deep Throat Chakra suppressions… (may the bowl bring her healing too.)
Right after the session we all felt thirsty due to the Sound Healing’s detoxing effect and we were all just sitting in peace and silence - you know the feeling when everything is just good, no need to overanalyse just enjoy the peace within and around.
If you ever have a chance please visit this beautiful place! You can also choose open session in group setting, without the experience of sitting in the bowl.
Hint: In a private sound healing session you can lie in the bowl and when you book in, ask for a practitioner who allows you to stay in the singing bowl the entire time (1hr).
